Big animation news! Thanks to the passion and persistence of the animator Daniel Aguirre Hansell, the original negative elements of The Sailor and the Devil (1967), the once lost short film by Richard Williams and my father Errol, have been found. The film is now safely archived with the British Film Institute. Daniel has made a short and charming documentary about this rediscovery complete with tantalising shots of the newly discovered material: vimeo.com/691520322
