Juana Robles' Rue de la Lune to Premiere at Phantoscope, Cork

Phantoscope is the quarterly experimental film event at Cork's Triskel Christchurch Cinema, which I programme. The next screening is Juana Robles' extraordinary Rue de la Lune, in which I play the mother! Don't miss this visionary work on the big screen.

The screening will take place on Thursday July 18th at 8pm. Tickets are available now.

This is the Triskel programme listing:

90 mins – Ireland 2022 – Experimental

Director: Juana Robles

Starring: Ambra Gatto Bergamasco, Sonia Ntova, Maximilian Le Cain, Angelica Santander, Darja Kazimira and Zura Makharadze

To be born in a family is to be possessed. The Healer, the Widow, the Lover, the Jester and the Artist represent in RUE DE LA LUNE a female household out of space and time going through dreamlike healing processes in desperate attempts to liberate themselves from subconscious dynamics that span multiple generations.

This visionary feature by Kilkenny-based experimental filmmaker Juana Robles highlights alternative ways of seeing and experiencing through focussing on the unique textures of analogue filmmaking and collaborating with outsiders and artists with unconventional trajectories.

There will be a filmmaker Q&A after the screening.
