I've taken my first step into the field of video essays in writing and narrating one for the upcoming first ever US Blu-ray release of Nuri Bilge Ceylan's masterpiece Distant (Uzak). I was invited into this by one of the busiest and best in the business, Chris O'Neill, who collaborated by conceiving and editing the visual content of the essay. The disc is released by Big World Pictures and OCN Distribution, a sister company of Vinegar Syndrome.
